Why does America have religious tests (or even care for that matter) for the politicians who run for office?

If I remember correctly in the Constitution it said that there can be no religious tests of ANY KIND for someone to run for office...yet, people are still harping about whether Obama's a Muslim, and I remember hearing that a majority of people still want someone as President with deep religious beliefs...what gives? I thought that there wasn't supposed to be any religious tests or anything!

Is this short-term memory?

One of my parents seems to have really bad memory. One day I told them (twice!) that I had auditions for a show the next day. After I told them they showed complete understanding that I had auditions the next day. There were no distractions or anything..Next morning it's time to go and they say "You've got to tell me about this stuff. I don't remember you saying anything about any auditions." So, I got my OTHER parent to take me to the auditions. I get back and tell my forgetful parent that I made the audition (yay mee!). They ask me if I had eaten or not while I was out so I KNOW they knew I'd just got home. They'd acknowledged me and everything. About an hour later they hear me on the phone and come to my room like "When did you get back from your audition? How long have you been here?" This isn't the first time i've noticed the forgetfulness but it's getting more frequent and when your PARENT who takes care of you forgets a lot it can make you very uneasy...

I am in my 30s and am seriously fed up with my current career. I am and always have been interested in wildlife and conservation. I am considering a return to university to study Zoology as a mature student. Before I do I would like to take a year out and I was hoping to go abroad and volunteer on a wildlife/conservation project. However, giving a year of my time, free of charge, doesn't seem enough thesedays. The only volunteer programs I can find are charging silly money for short placements. So my question is this; Is there anywhere or any organisation in the world where I can volunteer to work with wildlife or on a conservation project without paying for the privilage? I am happy to support myself but thesedays it seems you have to be a spoilt little rich kid to help save the planet. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Has your car ever decided to just...give up mid-trip?

So my best friend and I are driving home in her Astro-Van, when we're like...a hundred feet away from her house, the van just decides to die right in the middle of the road. Before it just plain stopped it made this noise that sounded like a box of gles being dropped on the ground followed by a mild burning scent inside of the car and under the hood. The engine was a tiny bit warmer than it ought to have been for a drive down town and back, and we were a bit low on oil and in the red on gas. when we were that low on gas in the past, we would just chug our way to the station and fill her up. we were puzzled further when the van simply would not start up again. any advice?

Maybe you should do one of the other jobs for a while and get some money saved up and THEN go follow your dream so that just in case it doesn't work out, you have some cushion. You seem kinda young so you have plenty of time to do both.

7 months pregnant please answer!!!?

i am 30 weeks pregnant and had an ultrasound at about 24 weeks give or take and the baby was breech i ask the doctor a couple of weeks later if i would have another ultrasound and he said as long as the baby was head first i probably wouldn't have another one i informed him that the baby was breech and he said they usually turn before time to deliver but if i don't get another ultrasound to make sure how will he know whether i will be able to have it natural or have to have a c-section i would like to know before i get in the delivery room so should i get another one or do you only get 2 throughout the whole pregnancy are you supposed to get any more this late in the pregnancy or do you get them all in the begining

Why are guys confusing?

Oh my gosh I used to read into things like that everyday of my life and I still do. I'd wonder why it took him 3 hours to text back and i find out he was with his grandpa and didn't have service. haha Then I feel stupid for worrying. If he is acting like that then he must like you. If he doesn't let me know and I'll whoop his . haha Well with the aol thing, it may just be a coincedence. You never know. You may want to text him and maybe set up a date and then on the date just in conversation after he flirts or something just ask why he never talks to you on aim and just be joking about it and ask if he likes you? Don't make it seem too upsetting or anything just in random conversation. Also you could just text him and talk instead of aiming. What do veterinarians use to put dogs to sleep?

My family dog of twelve years had to be put to sleep yesterday (yellow lab, he stopped eating and was having trouble getting around, hip problems etc). My parents asked me if I wanted to go with but I respectfully said no as I no longer live with them (on my own now) and he really is more of my mother's dog. Is the chemical concoction similar to the three drug course given for lethal injections? Is there anesthesia? Did my dog feel pain or go peacefully? Thank you for your time in advance.

Amnio testing in pregnancy for Downs Syndrome? Help?

I am 18 weeks pregnant, and have had to schedule an amnio because my NT scan was problematic. My doctor said normal NT results are 1.0 and mine was 2.4 signaling that my baby is at an increased risk for Downs Syndrome. Has anyone else recieved a result like this? Did you go on to the Amnio and what were the results like? If you have already had your baby, did everything turn out ok? Thanks in advance for your responses.
