Can I sue my landlord?

I leased the property for 2 years only 2 find out the house had mold growing throw out the house. The bathroom floor fell in and only onside of electrical worked. I continued typed up letters informing the land lord of all the problems and he did nothing. Finally I contacted the city code enforcer and they inform me that the house was unsafe to live in and sent it to the city council for demolishing of the property and we had to vacate the property. We have been suffering from headaches and vomiting. I belive its from the mold. I was informed by the city the house was ilegally rented to my family they tell me the house never should have been rented. Can I sue my landlord?
