Strangest situation ever!! How long would you wait?

I met this guy online (crazy but true, playing Spades of all things) and we instantly hit it off. We've been talking on the phone around 3-4 hours every night with a couple of quick calls during the day for about 2 months. We have decided to not physically meet each other yet because we had to be completely sure that it's going to go somewhere (he believes we are totally meant to be and perfect for each other, I'm starting to agree, just want to be sure). We are now discussing the physical meeting. I think, as far as is concerned, that we have to wait the normal time just as if we are meeting for the first time. He disagrees (respectfully lol, he of course says whatever I'm comfortable with) and thinks that because we already know everything there is to know about each other and we have had phone several incredibly enjoyable times (never done that before in my life lol) that we've already been intimate and why wait? I don't actually want to wait but aren't I supposed to?
