Wanting to move to a racially-diverse, low crime, mild climate area! Where should I begin??

I am a married african american women who would like a change of pace. We currently live in Northern CA and would like to eventually venture elsewhere to raise a family and have a more relaxed lifestyle. Would also like a location with many job opportunities.. Any suggestions?
