How do I stop my cat from scooting?

hi i honestly do not know what u mean by scooting, but as for the glands my cat has had this done a few times, but i can ure u it should last at least 6 months ,before needing done again, it helps if you can keep the cat from getting constipated, ;however my vet usually says to me, his glands where quite bad , and they should be ok now,; but he adds; if they are still bothering him bring him back; and i can do it a bit more, so yes sometimes u do have to go back , but most vets expect this, it is not they have filled up again more a needing a more thorough treatment the first time so take vet back and explain to vetss, he will understand it is just the same sometimes us humans has to go back to doctors good luck
