If I submit 30 day notice to vacate on April 18, will my May rent be prorated? (more details)?

I live with 2 other people who are remaining in the three bedroom apartment. They have another person ready to move in on June 1. If I submit my 30-day notice to vacate on April 18, will I have to pay for May 19-31?
