Could you give me 10 interesting points on kings, bishops, peasants, lords, and barons during middle ages?
Kings were often elected by their peers, the nobility. Bishops were often the sons of Popes & Cardinals. Barons were the administrative glue holding together KIngdoms. Peasants smelled really bad. Lords were frquently in debt. KIngs were frequently forced to pawn their jewelry to pay basic daily expences. Barons were expected to play host to prisoners of war and could be severely ounnished for failing to treat well-born prisoners with the perks their rank demanded. Peasants could be punnished for aspiring to rise above their station. Bishops were expected to riase large sums so that their kings could wage war.Peace
