Why do most products in the US have both spanish and english written on them?

in NY and other states i often see most most products written in both spanish and english and not english alone since its the countries language,why is it so?do the latinos in this various companies request for spanish to be written on them?In the UK we have lots of indians residing there but we dont have hindi inscribed or written on most products,why does the US has this practise?Is it because the hispanics want to have their own language on items in the US?Does the US speak both spanish and english?Its a big question that needs lots of reasons.
